About the role
- Technical on-site contact for all IT-related matters concerning workstations, infrastructure, and production
- Provide technical first- and second-level support — in coordination with the central IT Service Desk
- Deployment and operation of local IT equipment (clients, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, terminals)
- Support tasks related to centrally operated network and server components, e.g.: on-site coordination during commissioning, reconfigurations, or incidents
- Patching, cabling, and basic troubleshooting of network issues
- Maintenance of infrastructure components (according to central guidelines)
- Support and basic troubleshooting for local business applications, including coordination with central application teams
- Close collaboration with local OT technicians, e.g., for machine integration, edge components, and data collection
- Support for site rollouts, workstation setups, and relocations
- Technical interface to account management: close cooperation with the responsible account manager, without assuming commercial responsibility or managing customer relationships
- Participation in cross-site IT projects and occasional support for other locations
- Maintain documentation, asset inventories, and processes in the IT service management system
- Participation in on-call rotations for production-critical IT support
Requirements
- Completed IT apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Broad, practical IT knowledge: Windows client environments, Microsoft 365, user management (Active Directory)
- Basic knowledge of networking (VLANs, switches), Windows servers, and file/print services
- Experience in production-oriented IT support (OT-adjacent endpoints, label printers, barcode scanners)
- Technical understanding of applications and interfaces
- Enjoy working with OT technicians, production teams, and central IT teams
- Willingness to coordinate with account management and project managers; no commercial customer responsibility
- Structured, responsible, and independent way of working
- Very good German skills, good English skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally (for onboarding or support of other sites)
