About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage purchase orders for subcontracting vendors, including creation, tracking, revisions, and closure.
- Coordinate and monitor work-in-process sent to and received from subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned subcontractors regarding operational, commercial, and performance matters.
- Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, Customer Service, and other stakeholders.
- Collect, validate, and integrate subcontractor feedback into planning and ERP/MRP systems.
- Manage supplier compliance and risk tools.
- Lead onboarding activities for new suppliers, including system setup, documentation, compliance approval, and production readiness.
- Develop and review subcontractor KPIs and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Identify and escalate supply risks, delays, and performance gaps and propose mitigation plans.
- Support improvements to subcontracting processes, cost, lead time, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement or planning preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills required for collaboration with internal and external partners.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, required.
- Understanding of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Travel may be required.
