About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive product marketing strategies aligning sales and marketing teams with overall product goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams on new releases and marketing activity preparedness.
- Produce marketing requirement documents, positioning documents, launch plans and competitive briefs.
- Act as an expert on buyers, buying processes and buying criteria, transferring that knowledge to marketing and sales teams.
- Provide sales enablement tools to improve effectiveness and match customers with appropriate solutions.
- Develop product positioning based on customer needs, product differentiators and competitive landscape.
- Develop launch plans and messaging maps defining product marketing strategy and value propositions for buyer personas.
- Develop release plans for market alignment and successful product and service introductions.
- Develop demand-generation strategies with the program marketing team.
- Create and maintain product/market requirement documents, white papers, messaging maps, launch plans and other marketing materials.
- Deliver sales collateral, presentations, data sheets, white papers, website content, webinars, seminars and customer success stories.
- Leverage customer benefits and feedback for case studies, sales training, referrals and collateral.
- Collaborate with marketing, product management, sales, education and training organizations on go-to-market plans.
- Lead interactive marketing activities, written content and online activity as a thought leader.
- Assist with marketing performance metrics and campaign goals.
- Provide sales materials for channel events, tradeshows and user conferences.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
- Foundation in technology (software) and experience in the healthcare and/or dental industry.
- Knowledge and skills in 11 of the 15 categories in the Pragmatic Marketing Framework aligned with product marketing management.
- Ability to mentor and teach product managers in 9 of the 15 categories aligned with product marketing management, including Customer Acquisition and Customer Retention.
- Working knowledge of product marketing tools, including launch plans, messaging maps, positioning documents, MRDs and competitive briefs.
- Ability to deliver presentations in small and large group settings.
- Ability to influence and motivate individuals and teams that are not in subordinate roles.
- Ability to initiate, perform and analyze market research projects.
- Excellent understanding of industry practices.
- Strong proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures.
