About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Repair and service all equipment in practitioners’ offices with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Escalate and resolve advanced and difficult technical issues
  • Provide installation services as needed
  • Maintain necessary tools and equipment for installation and repair services
  • Lead team members and manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
  • Troubleshoot technical problems, diagnose errors, and determine solutions
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend solutions to optimize customer experience
  • Assist junior technicians with assignments to ensure quality customer service
  • Maintain appropriate van inventory levels
  • Produce timely, detailed service reports
  • Attend required career development and manufacturer technical training
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and use personal protective equipment when needed
  • Communicate assignment progress to team members and HUB dispatchers
  • Complete, review, close, and submit work orders for billing daily
  • Submit required job-related paperwork, including FDA Forms, expense reports, and other documentation
  • Comply with Fleet Management Policy, including maintenance and accident management policies
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have 3 or more Level 1 Certifications determined by the ROM/ZOM based on business need
  • Must be cross certified (digital x-ray/software, digital CAD/CAM, etc.)
  • Proven ability to present preventative maintenance to customers
  • Proven ability to administer timely and accurately (work orders, FSRs, Concur, eTime, RMA’s, 2579 reporting, etc.)
  • Ability to act as liaison between Henry Schein, customers, contractors and EPM
  • Must demonstrate lead technician capabilities
  • Must work well independently
  • Expert troubleshooting skills
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information
  • Must have the ability to mentor other technicians
  • Oral communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Typically, 7 or more years of dental industry experience with demonstrated proficiency
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Service and install experience
  • Must have achieved and demonstrated expertise in an equivalent area to a CIT certification
  • Typically, High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training; Associates degree or Technical School Certification is preferred
  • Ability to maneuver large equipment and perform substantial and/or repetitive bending, stopping, lifting, and climbing ladders
