About the role
- Lead the Software Engineering team and shape technical direction
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Security and Operations leaders
- Champion responsible AI and LLM adoption
- Ensure engineering teams are equipped with the right tools and practices
- Define and track group-level engineering KPIs
- Motivate and inspire team to reach and exceed targets and KPIs
- Promote an inclusive and diverse culture
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading high-performing engineering teams across multiple verticals in a growth-stage or mature SaaS company
- Experience of working in a shared responsibility leadership environment (Engineering, Product, Design and Data)
- Ability to drive software delivery impact using AI tooling and technology in the software development lifecycle
- Ability to shape group design (team topology, spans/layers, succession) and anticipate future capability needs
- Strong ability to use data and anecdotal evidence to inform decisions and drive change
- Practical understanding of governance and compliant change management in cloud environments.
