About the role
- Grow Medical Group revenues, reputation, and image by selling, servicing, and maintaining targeted large accounts.
- Prospect and engage key customer executive management to understand needs and recommend supply and service solutions.
- Establish relationships in customer organizations and assist in training ZGM’s, RSM’s, and FSC’s.
- Negotiate and develop distribution contracts in targeted MSOs, IDNs, CHCs, IPAs, RPCs, and large medical group practices.
- Maintain customer relationships and provide ongoing support to existing customers.
- Develop and implement national Healthcare Services sales and marketing programs to drive growth.
- Monitor sales, gross profit, and compliance with financial commitments and profitability.
- Develop and conduct customer business reviews and communicate strategic information to sales consultants and management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in medical sales or marketing in medical distribution or manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with IDNs and large physician offices.
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent required.
- Knowledge of medical organization structures including: GPO, MSO, IPA, IDNs, hospitals, ASCs, RPCs, physician offices.
- Knowledge of product categories including: diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and vaccines, medical-surgical supplies, medical equipment, and related services.
- Understanding of medical markets, trends, competition and key manufacturers.
- Demonstrated experience in developing new and successful business initiatives.
- Basic computer software skills including the use of spreadsheets, word processing, and Power-Point.
- Must know purchasing software and their interaction with ERP systems including AP and AR.
- Understanding of supply chain processes in a healthcare provider organization.
- Ability to give professional presentations to board-level executives.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication, negotiation, influencing skills.
