About the role
- Assist a regional sales team in lead generation, client outreach, and follow-ups.
- Help with identifying potential customers through market research.
- Contact prospects in a sales region through calls, emails, and other communication channels to introduce products and services.
- Present offerings and engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs.
- Assist in closing deals for open territories on a temporary basis.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products or services to effectively communicate their benefits to clients and answer any questions.
- Qualify incoming leads, schedule meetings or product demos for senior sales representatives, and ensure all leads are properly tracked in the CRM system.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including calls, emails, and meetings, using CRM software.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering timely support, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Account Executives and Area Sales Managers to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
Requirements
- 1 plus years’ experience in a software sales, sales development or business development position
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a positive attitude
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Nice to have: Experience in a dental or healthcare organization
- BS or BA in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field(s)
- Knowledge of Salesforce
