About the role
- Execute work that defines and evolves the look & feel of the Help Scout brand.
- Set the visual standard for the design team tethered to strategic initiatives and business impact.
- Own and implement design systems, frameworks, and direction documents as references for the team.
- Inspire and mentor teammates, foster consistency across channels, and elevate the brand and way of working.
- Bring product to market on the website and support multi-channel brand campaigns, retreats, and swag.
- Ensure customer-facing work looks, feels, and sounds like Help Scout for several hundred thousand monthly viewers.
- Report to the Creative Director and collaborate closely with Revenue Org, Product Design leadership, CPO, support, product, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- You’re a world-class visual designer with a keen attention to detail.
- Lead by example, and remain curious and consultative with teammates and cross-functional partners.
- Communicate effectively and leverage prototyping and asynchronous techniques to move work forward.
- Handle multiple complex projects in tandem.
- Root work in performance metrics and business strategy and pursue the most impactful tactics.
- Coordinate folks around the business to take projects from idea to completion.
- Be a role model and a culture leader who embraces ambiguity and creates clarity for teammates.
- Authorized to work from their home location; Help Scout does not sponsor visas.
- Portfolio/website required; provide a 2–3 minute video or screenshare walking through your work (application asks for links/files).
