About the role
- Manage and oversee distribution center’s indirect purchasing
- Acquire products from vendors at agreed or most advantageous prices
- Extract and aggregate data from invoicing system for analysis and reconciliation
- Analyse errors and trace root causes using raw database data
- Ensure data accuracy and correct flow of information to stakeholders
- Perform intermediate & ad-hoc database analysis using Google Sheets
- Audit purchase order system for open purchase orders pending invoice receipt
- Coordinate purchasing activities with other departments
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and driving needed changes
- Support inbound supply chain operations to ensure supplies arrive in full and on time
- Engage with external suppliers to ensure standards are met
- Fulfil weekly ordering and forecasting processes
- Proactively manage inbound deliveries to eliminate risk
- Ensure timely and accurate information is shared with internal stakeholders
- Resolve issues/questions with vendors including change orders, invoice variances, and PO reconciliation
- Evaluate Supplier Performance
Requirements

- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as inventory management systems or ERP systems
- Ability to extract and aggregate data from invoicing systems
- Ability to analyze errors and trace root causes using raw database data
- Intermediate database analysis using pivot tables, charts, and formulas in Google Sheets
- Ability to audit purchase order systems and reconcile invoices
- Experience coordinating purchasing activities with other departments
- Knowledge of inbound supply chain operations and supplier engagement
- Experience with weekly ordering and forecasting processes
- Vendor management skills including handling change orders and invoice variances
