About the role
- Own Model Fine-Tuning Cycles: Independently run end-to-end fine-tuning experiments, from data curation and setup to analysis and reporting.
- Partner with product, medical knowledge and design teams to automate prompt engineering, build agentic AI, create model evaluation frameworks.
- Build cutting-edge LLM features within Heidi using the latest tools and frameworks
- Implement Advanced Techniques: Implement and adapt state-of-the-art algorithms from research papers to solve specific product challenges.
- Deep-Dive Model Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of model behaviour, identifying failure modes and proposing data- or algorithm-based solutions.
- Contribute to Core Infrastructure: Help build and improve the core training and experimentation infrastructure to increase research velocity.
Requirements
- You have hands-on experience training and fine-tuning large-scale language models in a professional or advanced academic setting.
- You can optimise AI features for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost with AI agent design & fine-tuning.
- You’ve shipped AI and LLM-powered features to real users in a production environment.
- You have strong programming skills in Python and deep expertise with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- You possess a strong intuition for machine learning and can debug and solve challenging problems in a complex model codebase.
- You have a strong background in statistics and a rigorous, data-driven approach to experimentation.
