About the role
- Lead product design: Guide the end to end design process across Heidi’s products, ensuring every experience is intuitive and elegant.
- Set design vision: Define and communicate a clear, unified design direction that aligns product and brand, balancing pace with precision.
- Mentor and grow the team: Build and nurture a high performing team of product and brand designers who thrive on clarity, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example: Set the tone for design quality through your own hands on contribution, feedback, and detail orientation.
- Collaborate with the Head of Brand: Partner to align Heidi’s visual and experiential identity across every touchpoint, from the interface to the story we tell.
- Build scalable systems: Oversee and evolve Heidi’s design system to drive consistency, accessibility, and speed without sacrificing craft.
- Champion quality: Raise the bar for design excellence through critique, feedback, and hands on involvement, ensuring every detail reflects care, confidence, and precision.
- Partner across disciplines: Work closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams to turn complex ideas into clear, human centered solutions that scale globally.
- Advocate for users: Bring the voice of clinicians and patients into every decision, ensuring trust, empathy, and effectiveness guide our design choices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product design, including 3+ years leading high-performing design teams in product led environments.
- Proven success designing complex digital products, ideally within SaaS, healthtech, or other high trust domains.
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional product thinking, strong systems design, and world class craft.
- Experience collaborating closely with brand or marketing teams to create cohesive product and brand experiences.
- Deep understanding of design systems, accessibility, and inclusive design principles.
- Clear, persuasive communication and storytelling skills - you can align, inspire, and influence across disciplines.
- Strong technical awareness and partnership skills - you understand how great design gets built and how to bring it to life.
- A bias for clarity, pace, and ownership - you care deeply about the work, the team, and the details that make great products feel effortless.
