About the role
- Lead the design and development of user-facing features that delight healthcare professionals and make their work easier and more effective.
- Translate complex workflows and AI-powered functionality into interfaces that are simple, clear, and engaging.
- Work closely with designers and product managers to iterate on ideas, incorporating feedback from real-world use.
- Contribute across the stack — from frontend UI components to backend services — ensuring a cohesive, reliable product experience.
- Champion best practices in accessibility, performance, responsive design, and maintainable code.
- Mentor and support other engineers, helping to raise the quality of our frontend craft across the team.
- Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate advanced models in ways that feel seamless and intuitive to end users.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ professional experience building and delivering complex web applications, ideally in a product-driven environment.
- Strong frontend skills (e.g. React, TypeScript, modern CSS) and a track record of shipping polished, high-quality interfaces.
- Solid full stack capability, with the ability to work effectively on backend services when needed.
- A product mindset — you care deeply about solving real problems for users and measuring the impact of what you build.
- Experience working closely with design, with an eye for detail and an appreciation for great UX.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, performance optimisation, and responsive design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical and product direction.
- Bonus: Healthcare experience, knowledge of medical terminology, or previous work with speech-to-text systems.
