About the role

  • Work end-to-end to craft exceptional user experiences, ensure pixel-perfect implementation, and help shape future strategy.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other designers to create UI/UX that solves user problems and achieves business goals.
  • Simplify complexity for users and solve challenging problems with innovative solutions.
  • Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback on product and brand work created by other designers.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions.
  • Hand over designs to engineers and complete design QA to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Sales, to align on product vision and implementation.
  • Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Help improve and maintain Heidi’s design system.
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles and accessibility best practices throughout the organization.
  • Operate in a hyper-growth startup environment focused on clinician-facing AI SaaS for primary care.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design skills and a user-centric approach.
  • Minimum 4 years experience designing complex SaaS products (minimum 48 months), bonus if experience in healthcare or B2B.
  • Strong foundations in hyperspeed startup-phase execution and methodical, research-driven approaches.
  • Detailed knowledge of Figma and familiarity with other design tools such as the Adobe Suite.
  • Proven experience working with and contributing to design systems, design operations, and design governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
  • Technical awareness of how designs get built; ability to collaborate with engineers (bonus: HTML, CSS (Tailwind), React).
  • Bonus familiarity with product tools like Linear, Notion, Posthog and Intercom.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with latest design trends, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Willingness to work hybrid from Melbourne HQ or Sydney; applicants asked to state work authorization status and sponsorship needs.
