About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and evolve the Heidi Remote Android app alongside the wider Remote team
- Build and maintain Bluetooth / device connectivity, sync, and settings flows
- Ship Remote V2 setup experiences, including pairing and Wi‑Fi onboarding, with product and design
- Collaborate with iOS and Desktop on cross-platform consistency for shared device behaviour
- Work with backend and firmware partners, including factory-side firmware, on integration and rollout
- Continuously improve reliability, performance, and security for a clinical workflow
- Own work end-to-end from build through monitoring field issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of professional Android development
- Fluency in Kotlin and the Android ecosystem
- Solid experience with modern Android, including Jetpack
- Experience with architecture patterns such as MVVM / Clean
- Experience with Bluetooth or other connected / IoT-style devices
- Familiarity with REST APIs, offline-friendly patterns, and production debugging
- Comfort owning features end-to-end in a fast-paced, high-agency team
- Mandarin is a plus
- Nice to have: Wi‑Fi / enterprise network setup
- Nice to have: Google Play release experience
- Nice to have: exposure to iOS or cross-platform collaboration
- Nice to have: healthcare or regulated products
