About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and evolve architecture standards, design principles, and reference patterns for Digital Workplace platforms and services
- Drive end-to-end solution architecture across Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, endpoint management, messaging, and application delivery
- Ensure architectural alignment across Digital Workplace products and influence cross-product decisions
- Translate business demands into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions
- Provide architectural guidance for complex initiatives, ensuring early involvement of engineering and alignment with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, Enterprise Architecture, and Security & Resilience teams
- Lead and support Proof of Concepts and technical evaluations for new technologies, features, and vendors
- Contribute to architectural governance through review boards and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
- Promote automation-first engineering, standardization, and operational excellence
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities and modern workplace innovations
- Maintain clear architecture documentation, decisions, and reusable design patterns
- Support knowledge sharing and standardization across engineering teams
- Monitor technology trends and vendor roadmaps to enhance user experience, resilience, and efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or senior engineering roles with a focus on Digital Workplace
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Copilot)
- Solid experience in Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID)
- Good understanding of security fundamentals including DNS, PKI, and privileged access models
- Experience with collaboration and communication platforms (Teams Telephony, meeting room technologies, unified communications)
- Proven experience in endpoint management across Windows, macOS, and Linux (Intune, device lifecycle management)
- Knowledge of virtual workplace and application delivery (Azure Virtual Desktop, remote access solutions)
- Understanding of messaging and email security within enterprise environments
- Experience integrating AI-driven tools and automation into engineering workflows
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence technical decisions across teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into architecture roadmaps
- Experience working in global, complex, and matrix environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
