About the role

  • Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.
  • Direct client participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
  • Facilitate the learning of those skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife.
  • Administer diagnostic testing procedures to assess the extent of patients’ impairments and the prognosis for improvement.
  • Evaluate clients, develop appropriate treatment goals and methods, implement the physical therapy treatment plan, and complete all related documentation.

Requirements

  • Current Physical Therapy MA Licensure
  • Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances
  • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing or walking.
  • Lifting, positioning, transporting, and/or transferring patients.
  • Lifting supplies, equipment.
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
