About the role
- Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.
- Direct client participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.
- Facilitate the learning of those skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife.
- Administer diagnostic testing procedures to assess the extent of patients’ impairments and the prognosis for improvement.
- Evaluate clients, develop appropriate treatment goals and methods, implement the physical therapy treatment plan, and complete all related documentation.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy MA Licensure
- Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing or walking.
- Lifting, positioning, transporting, and/or transferring patients.
- Lifting supplies, equipment.
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
