About the role

  • Assures compliance to Internal and External audits and certifications.
  • Leads the automation process of our quality systems including digital transformation.
  • Manage and lead the development and implementation of digital Quality monitoring Schemes (QMS).
  • Manage the Consumer Complaint program, including logging, investigation and reporting of consumer complaints.
  • Assures compliance to Internal and External Standards, providing leadership over audits and certifications.
  • This role manages aging and hold materials and acts as back up to Quality Systems Manager and Verification and Audit Specialist.
  • Continuous Improvement activities are part of the role, including leading Root Cause / Corrective Action processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry or related field with 10 years’ experience is required.
  • GMP experience, Six Sigma / process improvement experience and HACCP certification are required.
  • Demonstrated field experience to lead SQF is also required.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and HRIS Systems.
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills: Interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be extremely organized, accurate and detail oriented.
  • Be a critical thinker with significant problem-solving skills and known techniques.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
  • Food manufacturing experience with knowledge of aseptic and thermal processing.
  • Strong auditing skills.
  • Previous leadership experience and experience with management of Quality Systems.
  • Process improvement skills (e.g. Six Sigma).
  • Proficient command of English and strong communication skills required – both verbal and written.
  • Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to perform under pressure and communicate well with all departments.
  • Must have good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
