About the role

  • Support and enhance assigned business unit alongside Corporate HR Team
  • Administer HR activities including HRIS, employee relations, policy development, onboarding, professional and leadership development, performance management, employment law compliance, talent mapping, and DEI
  • Be a contributing member of the Corporate HR Team and implement corporate HR initiatives within assigned business unit
  • Conduct new Team Member orientation on a rotation
  • Proactively engage with assigned leaders to address business and people issues
  • Respond to Team Member and Leader inquiries regarding policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs
  • Conduct investigations and facilitate progressive discipline including verbal/written warnings, corrective actions, suspensions and terminations
  • Identify and facilitate individual coaching needs and oversee performance review process
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend actions to Leadership
  • Maintain HR records to ensure federal and state compliance; support internal and external audits
  • Generate ad hoc reports and queries; develop SOPs, policies, procedures, guidelines, programs and forms
  • Conduct annual talent mapping and partner with leaders to implement development plans for high-potential team members
  • Partner with Benefits Specialist on benefit-related questions and assist with annual open enrollment
  • Scan and index documents to company imaging tool and regularly update job descriptions for assigned business unit

Requirements

  • 1-3 years as a Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college) in Human Resource Management or like field, or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or other related certification (preferred)
  • Experience with HRIS, employee relations, onboarding, policy development, performance management, employment law compliance, talent mapping, and DEI
  • Ability to conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Experience facilitating progressive discipline, coaching, and performance review processes
  • Ability to create SOPs, job descriptions, and HR reports; support audits; scan/index documents
