About the role
- Responsible for the efficient provision of reception and clerical support and assigned patient tasks for the Radiation Therapy Department.
- Contributes to the care and comfort of patients, communication with patient family members as well as routine cleanliness of Radiation Therapy area.
- Involves physical activity such as lifting and transporting patients, samples and equipment.
- Patient confidentiality is to be maintained at all times according to CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) policy and Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
Requirements
- Education Health Unit Clerk and Health Care Aide Certificates, or equivalent (ie. Nursing Assistant Certificate)
- Current experience in unit clerk and health care aid or related professional health care field.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Must have satisfactory employment record
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Ability to speak French
