About the role
- Supports the staff who work with ethics and regulatory affairs.
- Central to tracking and maintaining documentation related to training and regulatory requirements through the maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
- Facilitates efficient study start-up and maintenance activities.
- Provides excellent general office support essential to the smooth and effective operation of the ERA section.
- Tracks investigator training and their status in the various registries.
Requirements
- Level of Formal Education & Experience Grade XII High School Diploma
- Graduate from a recognized office assistant program
- Minimum 2 years previous related experience, preferably in a health-care, research-based setting.
- Knowledge of clinical research is an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Medical Terminology Test (70% passing benchmark)
- Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
- Excellent organizational, communication (verbal, listening and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function as a positive team member in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong commitment to accuracy and detail essential.
- Must have satisfactory employment record
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access
- Ability to speak French
