About the role

  • To assist in procurement of supplies, equipment, and services using a computerized purchasing system.
  • Will work with the Operating Room and vendors to maintain accurate inventory of all consignment materials.
  • Coordinates goods return and repairs.
  • Provides routine project-based support to the Manager, Materials Management and/or the Supervisor, Distribution Services.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years in a computerized purchasing environment, preferably SAP.
  • Grade 12.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
  • Keyboarding speed 45 wpm minimum.
  • Accurate, effective communication in English is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Works within the Centre’s core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, the public, and MHC and medical staff.
