About the role
- Contributes to the delivery of a high-standard of care provided by Home Care Direct Service Staff
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of Orientation and ongoing Staff Development programs for Direct Service Staff
- Participates in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of supplementary training staff/volunteers
Requirements
- Minimum of two years recent Occupational Therapy experience in a community or health care setting
- At least one year in the area of assessment, instruction and/or application of ergonomic principles preferred
- Experience in adult education preferred
- Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy or physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent
- Certification/Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba or College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba
- Valid Manitoba driver‘s license and access to a vehicle required
- Proficiency with computers is required
- Knowledge of InterRAI, EHCR, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is an asset
