About the role

  • Contributes to the delivery of a high-standard of care provided by Home Care Direct Service Staff
  • Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of Orientation and ongoing Staff Development programs for Direct Service Staff
  • Participates in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of supplementary training staff/volunteers

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years recent Occupational Therapy experience in a community or health care setting
  • At least one year in the area of assessment, instruction and/or application of ergonomic principles preferred
  • Experience in adult education preferred
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy or physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent
  • Certification/Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba or College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba
  • Valid Manitoba driver‘s license and access to a vehicle required
  • Proficiency with computers is required
  • Knowledge of InterRAI, EHCR, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is an asset
