About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and manage database assets in cloud environments
Leverage enterprise automations and monitoring tools
Customize cloud systems for performance, maintenance, and security requirements
Set up automation for infrastructure-as-code provisioning of Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and related PaaS databases
Set up standards for automation
Establish best practices for PaaS database automation
Work with database Subject Matter Experts to establish database automation standards and provision environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor degree and 6 years in Information Technology, or Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 7 years of Information Technology experience, or 9 years of Information Technology experience
Experience with Azure SQL databases and Azure SQL Managed Instances
Automation experience with Ansible and Harness
Experience with As a Service technologies
Experience with Cloud Orchestration and Management technologies
Experience with Monitoring and Event Management technologies
Experience with Automation technologies
Operations Management experience
Experience with ITIL v3
Experience with IT standards, procedures, and policies
Understanding of business priorities, industry trends, and markets
Sponsorship is not available, including for candidates currently on OPT
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related degrees
Preferred development experience in C#, Java, Python, or another language
Preferred experience with Azure networking and security
