About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, Tableau/PowerBI) and healthcare industry knowledge to support client-facing engagements
Provide analytic support and consultancy for HCSC’s largest Commercial Clients
Advise internal senior-leader stakeholders related to population health and insurance
Communicate with and present to C-Suite stakeholders to elevate their understanding of plan cost and health drivers
Collaborate internally to address challenges in population health and insurance
Design and maintain standard data layers, develop coding standards and documentation for organizational use cases
Troubleshoot challenges that arise during analytic development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, insurance industry economics or related field OR Master’s degree in related field with 3 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics
9 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field
Understanding of and highly proficient at querying a wide variety of healthcare data and related population data
Performance excellence in computer languages, such as SQL, R, Python
Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to customer or partner execution
Experience leading an analytic initiative to success
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
