About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive financial dashboards using Google Sheets, BigQuery, and Looker Studio
  • Automate reporting processes to ensure real-time accuracy and scalability
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead the architecture and optimization of financial data models within BigQuery
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to enable clean, reliable financial data pipelines
  • Partner with engineering and IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and ensure data governance
  • Build and maintain financial forecasting and budgeting models to guide business strategy
  • Perform variance analysis and identify key financial drivers
  • Support leadership with scenario modeling and ROI analysis
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts and data specialists
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement
  • Establish best practices for financial data management and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial data processes and improve efficiency
  • Leverage tools such as SQL, Python, or Google Apps Script to automate recurring tasks
  • Champion scalable data visualization practices across the finance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analytics, FP&A, or data engineering
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong expertise in BigQuery: SQL optimization, data modeling, and data pipeline management
  • Proven ability to create financial models and forecasting tools for decision support
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Looker Studio
  • Experience collaborating across Finance, Accounting, and technical teams to deliver business insights
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and modeling
  • Advanced SQL and data architecture knowledge; familiarity with ETL/ELT best practices
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Google Apps Script)
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP or FP&A systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Adaptive Insights, or similar
  • Preferred: Background in s, e-commerce, or other data-heavy industries
