About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and regularly update the Policy Register, Correspondence Register, Training Register and other AML or compliance documentation
- Prepare and submit suspicious activity reports (SARs) to Lithuania’s Financial Intelligence Unit, ensuring that supporting information is accurate and complete
- Review and investigate sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse media alerts
- Document screening decisions, maintain clear audit trails and escalate higher-risk cases when required
- Oversee programme managers’ end-client onboarding and ensure that relevant KYC and customer due diligence controls are completed
- Support ongoing monitoring activities, including periodic customer reviews, continuous screening and related compliance controls
- Dedicate approximately two to three hours per week to the oversight of programme managers’ end-client onboarding and ongoing monitoring activities
- Provide daily operational support to the MLRO and DMLRO, including case preparation, documentation and follow-up actions
- Help with regulatory reporting and ensure that required records and supporting evidence remain complete and accessible
- Carry out other daily AML activities and support the implementation of AML-related decisions and controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant AML, financial crime or compliance experience within payments, banking, FinTech or another regulated financial institution
- Practical experience with customer onboarding, KYC, customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring
- Experience reviewing sanctions, PEP and adverse media alerts
- Understanding of suspicious activity reporting processes and Lithuanian FIU reporting requirements
- Knowledge of Lithuanian and EU AML/CFT regulations and sanctions requirements
- Experience maintaining regulatory registers, case records and compliance documentation
- Strong written communication and the ability to prepare clear, evidence-based case summaries
- Professional fluency in Lithuanian and English
- Based in Lithuania and able to work in a hybrid model from the Vilnius office
- Experience within an electronic money institution, payment institution or card-issuing environment would be considered a strong advantage
