About the role
- Manages multiple merchandising projects, overseeing all project phases from inception through completion.
- Defines merchandising needs, establishes criteria and business requirements, and understands functional impacts.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Leads and oversees project teams in the development and implementation of merchandising applications and processes.
- Contributes to business process evaluation, procedural development, and functional system design.
- Manages project and business expectations; addresses issues and provides status updates to leadership.
- Leads capacity planning and requirements gathering; recommends solutions that align with timetables and objectives.
- Establishes critical success criteria and key performance indicators to measure project impacts and ROI.
- Monitors, evaluates, and audits implemented merchandising projects, systems, and processes to support continuous improvement.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- May require certification.
- Experience managing multiple merchandising projects.
- Experience leading project teams and supervising staff.
- Experience with business process evaluation and functional system design.
- Experience with capacity planning and requirements gathering.
- Ability to travel overnight less than 10% of the time.
