About the role

  • Manages multiple merchandising projects, overseeing all project phases from inception through completion.
  • Defines merchandising needs, establishes criteria and business requirements, and understands functional impacts.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Leads and oversees project teams in the development and implementation of merchandising applications and processes.
  • Contributes to business process evaluation, procedural development, and functional system design.
  • Manages project and business expectations; addresses issues and provides status updates to leadership.
  • Leads capacity planning and requirements gathering; recommends solutions that align with timetables and objectives.
  • Establishes critical success criteria and key performance indicators to measure project impacts and ROI.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and audits implemented merchandising projects, systems, and processes to support continuous improvement.
  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • May require certification.
  • Experience managing multiple merchandising projects.
  • Experience leading project teams and supervising staff.
  • Experience with business process evaluation and functional system design.
  • Experience with capacity planning and requirements gathering.
  • Ability to travel overnight less than 10% of the time.
