Account Manager – Software, Durability, Reliability
HBK - Hottinger Brüel & KjærAccount Manager Software responsible for revenue growth in engineering solutions across DACH. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving customer relationship management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement the sales strategy to develop the market with existing and new customers
- Identify and actively pursue growth and new business opportunities
- Lead generation (e.g., through marketing events, cold calling, etc.)
- Build and maintain professional relationships with relevant customer contacts
- Develop sales and acquisition strategies
- Plan and conduct customer meetings
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., support, service, management) to achieve objectives and ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with technical specialists (SMEs) for technical support during the sales process
- Deliver presentations and product demonstrations together with SMEs
- Prepare and present proposals and concepts
- Document all sales activities in Salesforce
- Create, maintain, and report a reliable forecast
- Continuously analyze and clarify customer requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration
- At least 5 years of sales experience in engineering software solutions
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets
- Strong communication skills and a confident, professional manner in discussions
- Ideally, experience with nCode and/or ReliaSoft products or similar applications
- Basic knowledge in areas such as material fatigue, data acquisition, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), or reliability analysis is an advantage
- Understanding of technical customer processes and related software applications
- High integrity and a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent German and English, both spoken and written
