Search Marketing Specialist
HBK - Hottinger Brüel & KjærSearch Marketing Specialist implementing global search strategies for HBK, enhancing visibility and rankings across major search engines, and managing SEO and PPC campaigns.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and implementation of a global search strategy, ensuring HBK maintains strong visibility across major search engines in all operating markets.
- Manage paid search and digital marketing activities in collaboration with our global search agency and regional marketing and product teams.
- Work closely with regional, sector, customer experience, and marketing performance teams to identify actionable insights and improve digital platform performance and customer experience.
- Collaborate with the global content team to ensure website content is fully optimised, engaging, and aligned with brand standards across all search engines and devices.
- Manage day-to-day SEO and PPC requests from regional marketing and product teams.
- Continuously improve marketing performance through A/B testing of organic content and PPC landing pages.
- Drive high-quality and balanced organic and paid traffic to HBK’s global websites.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree-qualified in Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record in marketing.
- Previous experience within a technical B2B organisation or within a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment would be advantageous.
- Proven experience managing PPC campaigns and a strong understanding of SEO best practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads (Search, Display, and Performance Max).
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads).
- Strong hands-on experience with conversion tracking and attribution tools, including GA4 and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Strong SEO expertise, including on-page optimisation, keyword research and search intent mapping, SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or equivalent tools.
- Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand audience needs and how they prefer to consume content.
- Adaptable and open to change, with the ability to adjust strategies quickly in response to performance and market trends.
- Ability to work effectively to monthly, weekly, and daily deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in relation to content quality, visual presentation, and user engagement.
- Resilient and tenacious, with the ability to accept and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
