About the role
- Project engineering/management, design, planning, operational support with a focus on water reuse and drinking water projects
- Supporting proposal development
- Mentor junior drinking water staff
- Coordination and collaboration with clients
- Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery
- Supporting projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements
- Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients
- Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects
- Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering
- PE license in Maine is preferred
- 7-12 years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing
- Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Self-starter with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people
