About the role
- Performing structural design and analysis of environmental structures such as low-rise industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, treatment facilities, dams and spillways.
- Leading the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects involving upgrades to wastewater, water and reclaimed water treatment plants.
- Computer-aided design (AutoCAD, Revit drafting/modeling, STAAD).
- Full structural design per governing building codes and design standards including ACI, AISC and ASCE.
- Performing construction management tasks such as shop drawings reviews and field inspections.
- Engaging in multi-discipline team environment and some travel for site reconnaissance tasks, condition assessments, and structural observations.
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years of experience
- Have a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural concentration from an ABET accredited institution.
- Candidates must have a Professional Engineering (PE) license, and a Structural Engineering (SE) license is preferred, or the ability to obtain such in the State of California, Oregon or Washington.
- Experience in design and construction of reinforced concrete, steel, reinforced masonry and structural aluminum.
- Experience with water and wastewater systems preferred.
