About the role
- Source and procure hardware by sending quote requests to vendors and maintain vendor quote database
- Research and identify new cost-effective and reliable vendors
- Create and process Purchase Orders using SONY SAP and onboard new vendors for B2B payments
- Receive, verify, and process invoices for goods and services
- Track order progress using ClickUp and communicate delivery statuses to business units
- Schedule and coordinate LTL freight shipments with freight forwarders (FedEx, SOS Global, Rock-It Global)
- Provide tracking information and secure competitive shipping pricing for domestic and international deliveries
- Maintain relationships with LTL freight vendors and coordinate with warehouse staff for pickups and receptions
- Calculate and estimate shipping costs including ground and air freight and account for international taxes, tariffs, and carnets
- Ensure shipments comply with domestic and international laws and SONY internal processes; manage inventory and asset tracking for sports events (NHL, NFL, MLB)
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
- Experience managing a high volume of orders and shipments
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience using project management software such as ClickUp (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data management and analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail for accurate order processing and customs documentation
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, taxes, tariffs, and carnets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently as a proactive self-starter
