About the role
- Work closely with Head of UX and the wider UX team to design best-in-class software
- Shape the future of sports technology UX and grow the UX function across a global business
- Drive UX maturity, improve processes, and improve DesignOps ways of working with product squads and wider teams
- Mentor UX designers and researchers, training, upskilling, and championing UX across product, engineering, and operations
- Plan team workload across multiple product streams, identifying common goals and patterns
- Lead regular UX team meetings and define usability benchmarks
- Plan, contribute to, and maintain the design component library
- Partner with UX researchers to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points
- Navigate ambiguous problems, uncover user requirements, and define clear project pathways
- Map user journeys, understand complex workflows, and prototype solutions
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and gather feedback
- Run usability tests with the support of researchers and apply insights
- Work with developers to bring designs to life and consider front-end implementation
- Prioritise workload in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Requirements
- 5+ years’ commercial experience in UX, product, or interaction design
- A portfolio showing user-centred design for complex desktop/web apps (not just mobile)
- Strong track record of navigating ambiguity and multi-faceted product conversations
- Experience running usability tests and applying insights
- High attention to detail in diagramming, prototyping, and presenting
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving and multitasking ability
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Familiarity with Figma and usability testing tools
- Understanding of front-end technologies and implementation considerations
- Experience in sport, broadcasting, or live event software (nice to have)
- Knowledge of DesignOps practices and UX maturity models (nice to have)
- Fluency in an additional language (nice to have)
