About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end design of core product experiences with a high sense of craft, from early exploration through polished execution. We're aiming to top experiences like Linear, Vercel, Attio, or Raycast.
- Design AI communication workflows (Voice AI, SMS, email) and data-heavy interfaces like campaign builders, journey orchestration, and performance dashboards that balance power and simplicity.
- Untangle dense, multi-step workflows (campaigns, audiences, journeys, integrations) into clear mental models that scale from single-location SMBs to multi-location enterprise teams.
- Use Claude and other AI tools to rapidly prototype interactive flows and pressure-test designs with product and engineering.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, a scalable component library built on shadcn/ui that integrates with our React + Tailwind stack.
- Get in front of customers regularly. Conduct user research with operators at home services businesses to deeply understand their workflows, and translate what you learn into product bets and design direction.
- Partner with Hatch CSRs and AI specialists to design interfaces that make our AI feel trustworthy, controllable, and on-brand for every customer.
- Advocate for design best practices and partner with engineering on implementation, responsiveness, and accessibility.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI in high-growth tech environments.
- Highly skilled in Figma, with comfort prototyping using AI tools like Claude to move quickly from idea to working artifact.
- Well-versed with common UX/UI patterns and brings strong visual design instincts to every project, with care for hierarchy, typography, and polish.
- Highly autonomous and high-agency. You don't wait for direction. You find the right problems to solve, scope them yourself, and drive them to resolution.
- Comfortable with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and motivated to make small but meaningful UX refinements to production environments. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or agents is a plus.
- Strong information architecture instincts. You can take a tangled feature set and find the clear, scalable structure underneath.
- Communicates with clarity and curiosity. You can clearly articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical partners, and confidently lead customer interviews that stay on track and dig into the right questions.
- Experience designing complex, data-heavy AI products (e.g., dashboards, workflow builders, conversational or communication interfaces) for enterprise, B2B, or multi-location operators in non-tech verticals like home services.
