About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for assigned opportunities.
- Identify and analyze customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends to inform strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Lead the capture process from initial identification through contract award.
- Conduct win/loss analyses to refine capture strategies and improve future performance.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and bids.
- Assemble and manage capture teams, including proposal managers, subject matter experts, and business development professionals.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, progress reviews, and strategy sessions.
- Ensure alignment between capture efforts and organizational goals.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key client contacts to enhance the company's positioning.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Oversee the development of proposal content, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and high-quality submissions.
- Coordinate proposal reviews, including red team reviews and final edits.
- Manage proposal budgets and timelines effectively.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to support business development efforts.
- Track and report on capture performance metrics, including win rates, proposal success, and client feedback.
- Prepare and present regular updates to senior management on capture progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance or above.
- Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful captures and proposals.
- Strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle, including capture planning, proposal development, and submission.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in capture management software and tools.
- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and government contracting (if applicable).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies for capturing business opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market data, competitive intelligence, and customer needs.
- Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Preference for individuals with experience selling hybrid solutions (products and services)
- Experience supporting DoW, and/or Law Enforcement a plus
