About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Home Claims Auditors
  • Ensure delivery of a robust and effective audit function against business objectives
  • Complete operational and external audits across Home Claims
  • Lead colleagues to achieve successful outcomes and maintain delivery against schedules and SLAs
  • Ensure one-to-ones, team meetings, and performance development reviews are completed
  • Develop understanding of internal and supplier claims processes, commercial initiatives, best practices, and customer and financial impacts
  • Design and develop flexible audit approaches to capture, monitor, and measure performance
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships within suppliers
  • Scope, attend, set agendas for, and provide feedback from supplier audits
  • Complete and manage onsite and remote risk-based audits across suppliers
  • Work with commercial teams, operational management, and Claims leadership to identify remedial actions
  • Track and monitor remedial action delivery and take steps to deliver financial benefits
  • Manage root cause analysis for systems, controls, and complaints including FOS complaints
  • Recommend improvements to reduce justified complaints, increase renewal retention, and comply with FCA regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrable experience leading a group of colleagues to achieve successful outcomes
  • Experience maintaining delivery against schedules and SLAs
  • Experience completing one-to-ones, team meetings, and performance development reviews
  • Complete understanding of internal and supplier claims processes
  • Knowledge of commercial initiatives and claims best practices
  • Ability to understand impacts of inefficient processes and poor outcomes on customer journeys, leakage, financial performance, and fraud
  • Experience designing and developing flexible, effective audit approaches
  • Experience managing senior supplier stakeholder relationships
  • Experience completing and managing onsite and remote risk-based audits
  • Experience identifying remedial actions and tracking delivery
  • Experience managing root cause analysis for systems, controls, and complaints including FOS complaints
  • Strong audit experience, ideally with external suppliers, in a regulated environment such as insurance or financial services
  • Proven leadership experience with strong coaching and team development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret management information to identify risk and opportunity and proactively resolve issues
  • Knowledge of home or household claims in an insurance setting is advantageous
  • Must undergo thorough referencing, including credit and criminal record checks
