Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help create a leading suite of analytical and data products for pricing, data, and analytics teams
  • Maximise the efficiency and quality of underwriting pricing
  • Develop and support tooling adopted across the wider business
  • Push new research to deliver direct commercial value
  • Support other product teams to improve their products
  • Automate processes and pipelines for data, analytics, and operations
  • Work at the intersection of pricing, modelling, engineering, and related disciplines
  • Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in pricing, market dynamics, or underwriting is a plus
  • Analytical thinker / problem solver
  • Strong accountability and confidence owning and solving problems
  • Ability to challenge the status quo
  • Brilliant communicator able to engage and trade information effectively in any setting
  • Commitment to collaboration and helping internal customers
  • Ability to context switch comfortably across multiple workstreams
  • Growth mindset and lifelong learner
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Git and GitHub, including branching and pull requests
  • Automation of processes/pipelines for data, analytics and operations is a bonus
  • Experience with ML-specific Python libraries is a bonus
  • Familiarity with big data stack such as Snowflake, Spark, or PySpark is a bonus
  • Cloud computing experience, particularly Azure, is a bonus
  • Must be able to work in the United Kingdom; sponsorship is unavailable
