About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own technical accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls in a multi-product SaaS environment
  • Research and document complex accounting positions under U.S. GAAP and, where applicable, IFRS
  • Prepare technical accounting memos for significant and non-routine transactions
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Legal, Partnerships, Corporate Accounting, Revenue Accounting, and StratFin teams
  • Assess accounting implications of new products, pricing structures, partnerships, contracts, and commercial arrangements
  • Monitor and implement new accounting standards and communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Partner with external auditors and technical accounting consultants
  • Own accounting policies and related controls
  • Prepare and review internal and external financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable internal controls for future public-company readiness and SOX compliance
  • Lead IPO-readiness technical accounting and reporting workstreams
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare reporting and analysis for senior leadership, the board, investors, and lenders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA required
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Combination of public accounting and industry experience
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • Deep, current expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Working knowledge of IFRS
  • SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with technical accounting research and technical memos for complex, non-routine transactions
  • Working knowledge of internal controls and SOX
  • Experience supporting IPO readiness or public-company reporting is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of business combinations, equity and stock-based compensation, leases, and revenue recognition
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build scalable processes and controls in an evolving environment
  • High ownership, integrity, and attention to detail
