About the role
- Serve as project manager for external manufacturing activities, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, and on-time delivery.
- Support technology transfer projects by coordinating cross-functional inputs from Tech Ops, QA, RA, and Supply Chain, and aligning deliverables with CMO execution.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to ensure alignment with business priorities and production requirements.
- Oversee project execution related to external manufacturing, including planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Act as primary liaison between internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Technical Operations) and CMOs to ensure seamless coordination.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, performance metrics, and status reports to leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and on-time delivery across external manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual agreements, and regulatory standards in all CMO-related activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in project management, external manufacturing, or operations within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Strong background in technology transfer, regulatory/quality requirements, and supply chain processes.
- Proven track record of managing CMO relationships and cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent organizational, risk management, and communication skills.
- PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
