About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sort bankruptcies and create work packets
- Handle phone calls from debtors and attorneys regarding bankruptcies while providing a high level of customer service
- Process bankruptcies and file proof of claims in a timely manner
- Prepare and fax letters and other documents to interested parties
- Notate accounts accurately in various client systems
- Communicate effectively and professionally with debtors and other interested parties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to type quickly and accurately at 40 wpm
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated history of effective time management
- Ability to prioritize projects with changing deadlines
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Must be local to the Chicago area
- Some college education or paralegal certification preferred as a nice-to-have
- Experience with Canvas, Pacer, and Columbia Ultimate Collections Software (CUBS) preferred as a nice-to-have
