About the role

  • Actively contribute to the design, development, and testing of prototypes for new software features and AI-driven products.
  • Work across the full product lifecycle from initial concept and design iterations to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development, R&D and AI strategy teams to translate strategic goals into modern, intuitive, and user-friendly software experiences.
  • Apply UI/UX best practices including responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, present findings, and contribute to ongoing research projects.
  • Identify and implement solutions that elevate product quality and capability.
  • Expand expertise in modern development methodologies, UI/UX principles, and emerging technologies within a feedback-rich environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum 6-month work term availability; options for part-time or full-time engagement.
  • Demonstrated passion for research, innovation, and software development.
  • Familiarity with core software development tools and methodologies.
  • Proactive learner with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative spirit.
  • Team player; expected participation in meetings with camera on.
  • Time Zone: PST
  • Experience with any of: Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Docker, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, RabbitMQ (bonus)
  • A keen eye for UI/UX design, layout, typography, and visual storytelling (bonus)
  • Previous co-op, hackathon, personal projects, or open-source contributions (bonus)
  • Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies (bonus)
  • Experience working with design systems or brand guidelines (bonus)
