About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative and editorial support to the VP, Editorial Director
- Manage schedules, maintain records and the imprint map
- Act as the in-house liaison between Editorial, other departments, and authors
- Draft publication materials, including contract requests and metadata keywords
- Traffics manuscript through production, liaising with authors to meet publishing deadlines
- Assists supervisors in the acquisitions process by reading and evaluating manuscripts
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree or 1+ year of relevant work experience
- Genuine interest in commercial fiction, especially adult genre fiction
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media platforms
