About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a data function responsible for data infrastructure, engineering, governance, and analytics for HarperCollins across North America
Build a cohesive team of leaders across data disciplines
Own the enterprise data strategy, focusing on modernizing and converging data architecture
Engage and consult with senior leadership in IT and across the business
Oversee the execution of data transformation, migrating existing solutions to the Fabric platform
Optimize data quality and delivery of analytics solutions through governed data products
Manage and extend a portfolio of consulting and vendor partners
Foster effective partnerships between the data function and other teams globally
Prepare the data function for AI integration

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of experience in Data and Analytics roles
5+ years of experience leading data teams managing high-volume, high-complexity ERP data
Proven ability to devise strategic goals within a complex business environment
Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders
Fluency in modern data and analytics platforms, including Lakehouse architectures and BI tools
Extensive experience with Microsoft’s cloud data platform components
Strong background in delivering complex data engineering solutions
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level data transformations
Strong understanding of the analytical potential of AI
Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) integrations preferred
DAMA-DMBOK certification or similar data management accreditation is an advantage.
