About the role

  • Provide employment law advice to clients on contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Draft contracts of employment, policies, procedures and Consultancy Agreements
  • Advise on employment status distinctions and IR35
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Advise on discrimination, whistle-blowing, TUPE transfers, restructures and redundancies
  • Negotiate during ACAS Early Conciliation and defend Employment Tribunal claims
  • Enforce/defend restrictive covenants and handle senior executive severances
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in client and internal projects
  • Use technology and AI tools to streamline legal processes and document management

Requirements

  • 4+ years PQE in employment law
  • Experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Experience drafting contracts of employment, policies and procedure
  • Knowledge of employment status: employed, worker and self-employed
  • Experience drafting Consultancy Agreements
  • Some knowledge of IR35
  • Experience managing disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Experience advising on discrimination and whistle-blowing cases
  • Experience assisting with TUPE transfers and other corporate transactions
  • Experience with business restructures & redundancies
  • Ability to advise upon and negotiate during the ACAS Early Conciliation process
  • Experience defending Employment Tribunal claims
  • Experience in enforcement/defence of restrictive covenant claims
  • Experience handling senior exec severances
