About the role
- Ensure that all employees comply with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies
- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program
- Manage HarmonyCares’ Fraud, Waste, and Abuse program
- Function as an independent and objective body to review and evaluate compliance or issues
- Establish policies and procedures to prevent, detect, and respond to compliance risks
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Oversee internal audits and investigations related to compliance issues
- Coordinate internal monitoring and auditing to ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver compliance training for employees and leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies
- Manage the Compliance Hotline process
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, policies and procedures that promote civil rights and accessibility in patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, finance, business management, or a related field
- 10+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory experience
- 4+ years of leadership in compliance within healthcare
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and lead across all levels of the organization
- Experience interacting with regulatory bodies and managing audits
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a strong compliance culture
