About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet all visitors to the community
  • Answer telephones, transfer calls, and take accurate messages
  • Monitor walkie-talkie, door security system, and fire panel as needed
  • Monitor resident and visitor registration logs
  • Complete administrative support functions including filing, typing, and making copies
  • Fill out and log service request forms for residents and/or staff
  • Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and neat
  • Sell meal tickets and account for payment by payroll deduction or personal check
  • Ensure building security and periodically check entrances and exits
  • Attend in-services and staff meetings
  • Assist with coordinating the resident van schedule
  • Follow confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience in administration functions
  • Considerate, neat, well groomed, and professional appearance
  • Professional dress
  • Polite and professional telephone manner
  • Organized and able to work well with others as part of a team
  • Polite and considerate toward residents, visitors, co-workers, and management
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
