About the role

  • Drive the early development of Harmonic’s mobile products and translate mathematical superintelligence into consumer experiences.
  • Own the end-to-end development of mobile applications, leading technical design, implementation, and deployment from the ground up.
  • Obsess over the details of the user experience by implementing intuitive mobile user experiences and optimizing application performance.
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, and research teams to define, prototype, and build innovative features that transform complex technology into seamless user interactions.
  • Leverage AI-native tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development cycles and establish new best practices in mobile engineering.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex native mobile apps.
  • Experience with experimentation and iterative development processes.
  • Proven work ethic, self-motivation, and a passion for building impactful products.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, including familiarity with Figma.
  • Solid product sense, an eye for design, and a willingness to think critically about user experience.
  • Experience with modern software development practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build and deployment processes, and testing.
  • Proven track record operating successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Expo and React Native.
  • Prior experience in collaborating with research teams or in a research-driven environment.
  • Experience in developing products from concept to launch.
  • Experience developing complex web apps.
