About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and implement sales and development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward the Chinese Customers including domestic, and oversea business.
  • Overall ownership of funnel creation for China along with regulating and stabilizing funnel velocity with a hyperfocus on achieving targets.
  • Understanding of Harman products and services portfolio to create compelling service offerings for our customer pursuits.
  • Work closely with Managing Director to define and execute AES China strategy.
  • Lead and manage executive sponsorship management with customers evaluating the existing deal risks and dependencies.
  • Keen insights into the overall deal closure status on deal closure strategies adapting to customer specific, industry specific, and geopolitical challenges.
  • Driving business workshops as well as conducting deep-dive technology workshops to collaboratively develop and implement software transformation, strategy, roadmaps and blueprints.
  • Engage with Customer Stakeholders to showcase Software Foundation, Software Excellence and Software Factory Initiatives that can differentiate Harman from its competitors and positively impact deal closure.
  • As a Strategic Advisor, build and develop trusted relationships with clients and work internally across Harman teams to bring our clients the most comprehensive, end-to-end services to effectively address their projects.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of a specific industry, client or technology and function as an expert to advise senior leadership.
  • Build, Develop and Own relationships with business, engineering and technology stakeholders, executives of our clients.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Around 12-15 years’ experience in Sales, Business Development, & Product development in Automotive Software & Services.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Automotive Services industry dealing and delivering to OEMs and other automotive ecosystem players.
  • Experience in working within Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers in the Automotive industry.
  • Well versed with Automotive Industry market trends including but not limiting to Automotive Application Ecosystem, Software Defined Vehicle, new E/E Architecture with centralized / zonal compute, In-Cabin Experience, Shared Mobility.
  • Electrification and ADAS / AD. And its implication to Engineering Services portfolio/offerings.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, MBA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Strategy, Transformation, Software Excellence and Technology Leadership.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to work with a blank slate and inspire others.
  • Intellectual and curious with a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong Project Management skills and ability to perform under tight timelines.
  • Experience pivoting and navigating dynamic and changing situations.
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, and professional, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about delivering powerful presentations.
  • Further language skills in Chinese, English.
