Principal Engineer, Acoustics

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and tune audio systems for the automotive environment.
- Investigate new audio related technologies and best practices.
- Research and create novel solutions to issues in acoustic systems for the automotive environment.
- Develop and document worldwide acoustic systems tools and best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Acoustics is required.
- 8+ years of experience in an audio related field is required; 7+ years of experience is strongly preferred.
- Specific experience required in 3 or more of the following fields: acoustical engineering, transducer engineering, digital signal processing, amplifier engineering, psycho-acoustics and recording arts.
- Knowledge of Matlab, C, C++, algorithm development and programming is preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of acoustic theory, sound reproduction and sound system tuning is strongly preferred.
