About the role

  • Lead R&D to develop cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for consumer audio products focused on intelligent audio processing, voice interaction, noise suppression, personalization, and contextual awareness.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML algorithms/models for audio signal processing, voice recognition, noise cancellation, and personalization.
  • Conduct applied research and translate state-of-the-art techniques (deep learning, transformers, on-device learning) into production-ready systems.
  • Develop and automate ML pipelines to optimize and accelerate model development and deployment.
  • Develop AI/ML strategies aligned with company objectives and explore emerging techniques/tools/frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, product design, firmware, and UX to ensure integration from inception to commercialization.
  • Conduct and oversee projects and effectively communicate project status within and across functions.

Requirements

  • M. S. or Ph. D. in a relevant technical field, e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, or other related majors.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research and development with proven records.
  • A deep understanding of ML theory, including supervised learning, ranking models, embeddings, representation learning, and evaluation metrics.
  • Experience with AI/ML for audio applications is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for prototyping and experience with C or C++ is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax).
  • Familiarity with common software engineering practices (structured approach towards coding, version control, cloud computing).
  • Possess strong software engineering skills and mindset and have a high bar for engineering code quality and scalability.
  • Be self-motivated, take initiative, and drive to successful outcomes.
  • An analytical and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
